Our geographic area covers central and west central Nebraska. We are committed to helping individuals and families of our communities obtain a higher quality of life through the provision of nutrition and reproductive health services. This is achieved by qualified staff who care about our clients. Our activities and programs are designed to protect and improve the health of those we serve. To make our services convenient for those we serve, Family Planning Clinics are held in North Platte and McCook. Our WIC Clinics are located in North Platte, McCook, Grant, Curtis, Imperial, Benkelman, and Mullen.
What is WIC?
WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a supplemental nutrition food program for infants, children under the age of 5, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and women who have had a baby in the last 6 months. WIC helps families by providing healthy foods, nutrition education and referrals to other health care agencies.
The WIC foods offer a variety of healthy choices. Your clinic will issue you “WIC checks” that can be used at participating stores in Nebraska.
What is Family Planning?
Family planning, by definition, is deciding the number and spacing of your children; through the use of contraception: such as abstinence, natural planning, or hormonal birth control.
It is the mission as a Title X agency to reduce abortion rates in the state of Nebraska through the provision of safe, effective contraception methods and client education on pregnancy prevention.
We offer counseling and education to all of our patients, on all of the services we provide. Our educator is also available to speak to any group, on any reproductive health topic including; STI’s, self breast/testicular exams, abstinence, and contraceptive options.
