With a heavy focus on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), booths will feature activities and exhibits driven by problem-solving and creative-thinking. The Tallahassee Science Festival promises to be a fun and dynamic learning experience for the entire community.
This annual event is an incredible, hands-on experience for children of all ages. Last year there were over 115 exhibits representing many local prominent scientific organizations and clubs including the National Magnetic Lab, Florida A&M, FSU, Tallahassee Community College, The State of Florida, Leon County, The City of Tallahassee, and many local STEM based organizations. Presenters came from as far away as Gainesville, Tampa and Pensacola.
Over 6,000 kids brought their parents out to enjoy a fun day of hands-on experiences.
This year's Tallahassee Science Festival is being presented by Tallahassee Community College in partnership with the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Innovation Park of Tallahassee, The Tallahassee Scientific Society, Duke Energy, Rethink Energy and Leon County Schools.
The Tallahassee Science Festival was founded by Bill and Elaine Grace.
