As a patient, do I have a choice to have my orthopaedic surgery at OrthoNebraska or do I have to go where my doctor says?
Every patient has a choice in where they would like to have their surgery. It's no different at OrthoNebraska. When you and your physician are discussing where to have your surgical procedure, request to have it done at our hospital.

Where can I find OrthoNebraska services?
OrthoNebraska Hospital and the main clinic location is at 144th & West Center Road - near the Oakview Mall. However, you can find OrthoNebraska clinics throughout Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Fremont, Blair, Norfolk and Fairfax, Missouri. If I am having an inpatient surgery, what should I bring?
Patients who are scheduled for an overnight stay at OrthoNebraska can bring anything you would usually need for an overnight stay at a hotel. If you forget something, please let your nurse know. We have many toiletry items on hand for our patients. We will do our best to make sure you have everything you need to make it feel like your home away from home.

Does the hospital have wireless internet? Can I bring my laptop with me?
Wireless Internet access is available to patients, families and visitors of the hospital. This service is available in the main and upper lobbies of the hospital, as well as patient rooms on the second floor. You are more than welcome to bring your laptop to use our wireless network. Your laptop will need to be an 802.11b-compatible wireless Ethernet adaptor (also called Wi-Fi compliant).

Can I have a guest stay overnight at the hospital with me?
Yes! We allow one overnight guest to stay with you in your room overnight. More information is available in our Patient Information section.

What are the hours?
OrthoNebraska Clinics have scheduled appointments between 8AM and 5PM Monday through Friday. However, for after hours care, the OrthoNebraska Emergency Room on 144th & West Center is open 24/7 to care for all emergencies and the Orthopaedic Urgent Care is open seven days a week and until 9pm on weekdays.

 

Licensed as an acute care hospital by the State of Nebraska, OrthoNebraska is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission is the premier credentialing and accrediting organization within health care. Earning the Gold Seal for full accreditation from The Joint Commission means that as a hospital we meet the highest standards for patient care. In addition, the hospital has disease specific certification from The Joint Commission for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.

The hospital is also certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services. This means the hospital is able to provide care for individuals who participate in these government sponsored programs.

They are supported by providers, physical therapists and rheumatologists from a variety of other specialties including: internal and family medicine, cardiology, pathology, radiology and anesthesiology. These physicians assist with your care during your entire stay. In addition, area physicians may use the facility for other specialty surgeries relating to their patients.
